This one day Level 2 Award in Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (RQF) is accredited by Highfield Qualifications and sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), providing candidates with a nationally recognised qualification from one of the leading awarding bodies.

Delivered by a NEBOSH qualified H&S adviser and qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser.

Who the COSHH Course is Suitable for

This qualification is aimed at learners who have access to any environment where coming into contact with hazardous substances is likely. This includes workplaces in areas such as manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and office environments as well as classroom environments. The qualification provides learners with the knowledge and skills needed to recognise the risks associated with hazardous substances and how to control them.

COSHH Course Content

• Understanding the principles of hazardous substances in the workplace
• Understanding how hazardous substances can cause risks to health
• How risk assessment can contribute to the safe use of hazardous substances
• Precautions and procedures to control hazards

Candidates will be provided with quality handouts to be able to refresh the topics covered.

Assessment

This COSHH course is pass or fail and is assessed by a multi-choice written test paper.

Certificate

Successful candidates will receive a certificate from Highfield Qualifications.
