Driver CPC (JAUPT course ref; CRS17411/2386)

**INCLUDES RECENTLY UPDATED LOAD SECURITY GUIDANCE**

This Online Driver CPC Course is written by an experienced Driver and Transport Manager, and looks at both the Operator and Drivers responsibilities toward ensuring their vehicles are roadworthy. Drivers of larger vehicle can find themselves subject to roadside inspections by the DVSA or Police. This course aims to give Drivers a detailed explanation of how roadside checks,  prohibitions and sanctions work, and what they can do to combat problems. Candidates will be informed of their obligations to conduct walk around checks of their vehicles and we will point out key defects to look out for along with any recent updates to the rules.
Many Drivers are still unaware that the guidance on how loads should be secured has recently been updated. The new guidance will be explained in the afternoon of the course, along with a basic outline of relevant vehicle weights and dimensions. An essential course for all Drivers as part of their periodic training. As always, delivered in a relaxed and informal manner by experienced industry professionals. You can read our latest Google reviews here.

This Online Health & Safety Driver CPC course aims to give an informal but detailed explanation of UK Health & Safety law. The course covers the following key pieces of H&S legislation and highlights the responsibilities for drivers and their employers under law – The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Management of Health & Safety Regulations 1999, ADR, COSHH, LOLER, Working at Height, RIDDOR.

Drivers will also receive an explanation on how the rules are enforced and conduct an interactive section explaining the Risk Assessment process and how hazards might be best controlled. Yes it’s pretty heavy legislation, but gaining an understanding can ensure that Drivers are not accepting undue liability at work. As always, delivered in a relaxed and friendly manner.

The afternoon of the course is an update on security threats, including a look at the latest reports from NAVCIS. HGV’s have been consistently targeted by thiefs for many years. It’s a well established problem and Drivers may find themselves in vulnerable situations. Gaining an understanding of these threats and raising awareness of the latest trends can ensure that Drivers are better protected. We don’t just tell tall tales here, we use a number of resources to give candidates an accurate perception, including the latest reports from NAVCIS.
